Workshops held by Jan-Philipp Ahrens for i-Lab Community Students (March 24–28, 2025)

Dr. Jan-Philipp Ahrens, an expert in artificial intelligence and sustainability, delivered a series of workshops and presentations between March 24–28, 2025, at Babeș-Bolyai University. Holding the venia legendi title from the University of Mannheim and leading an interdisciplinary research group, Ahrens introduced students to timely topics such as collective intelligence, the digital economy, and sustainable crowdfunding.
The workshops focused on digital entrepreneurship and offered participants the opportunity to develop business models and crowdfunding campaigns supported by artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on social impact, gender equality, and inclusive education. Through interactive sessions, students gained advanced knowledge of crowdfunding strategies, the social and psychological dynamics of audience engagement, high-quality multimedia content creation, and effective teamwork in building sustainable ventures across diverse sectors—ranging from fashion and arts to sports and education. The series concluded with a pitching session where participants presented their ideas to instructors and received valuable feedback and validation for their initiatives.
As part of the CEBSS seminar, Dr. Ahrens presented his paper Collective Intelligence Theory, which explores how organizational characteristics influence sustainability in family businesses.
