Visit to the UBB Student i-Lab

The students visited the UBB Student i-Lab incubator, where they were introduced to the programs and activities designed to support entrepreneurial initiatives.

During the visit, they also met with Associate Professor Dr. Cătălina Crișan, the executive coordinator of the incubator, who explained the role of i-Lab in supporting students interested in transforming their ideas into concrete projects.

Through this visit, the students learned how the incubation process works: from idea generation and validation with the help of mentors and professionals, to developing feasible business plans within an interdisciplinary framework.

Later, together with Prof. Steve A. Varela, they participated in a roundtable discussion where they talked about their experiences in Romania, explored cultural differences, and received recommendations on how to apply what they had learned—encouraging them to think creatively and entrepreneurially.

The experience proved to be both inspiring and constructive, offering students a clear understanding of what entrepreneurial spirit, interdisciplinary collaboration, and openness to new ideas look like within a dynamic academic environment.
