Between December 2nd and 5th, 2024, UBB students had the opportunity to attend a series of interactive workshops, delivered by Catherine Delevoye – Senior Adviser at Technoport Luxembourg, which enabled them to acquire essential skills for entrepreneurial success. Each session was designed to provide practical, critical knowledge in the process of business development, addressing the challenges faced by start-ups and spin-offs. Participants learned how to navigate the key stages of building a business, gaining tools that will help them successfully tackle various entrepreneurial challenges.

The workshops focused on familiarizing students with the concepts of protecting and managing intellectual property, an essential aspect in the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Students learned about licensing mechanisms, co-development, and commercial negotiation, preparing them to protect their innovations and maximize their value. Additionally, they learned how to create and optimize value chain maps, applying process optimization strategies to ensure the delivery of a sustainable and scalable solution. The workshops also provided valuable insights into accessing investors and expanding into international markets, preparing participants to successfully tackle global expansion.
