Artificial Intelligence in Entrepreneurship: Recent Trends, Future Projections, and Related Topics – Workshop Delivered by Ilya Avdeev within the i-Lab Incubation Program (18.11.2025 and 20.11.2025)

The i-Lab incubation program continued with Module 7, focused on exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming the entrepreneurial landscape. The session covered current trends, emerging tools, and how AI can be leveraged to create business value. It also addressed the technology’s impact, ethical challenges, and the crucial role of entrepreneurs in responsibly adopting AI.
The guest of the session was Dr. Ilya Avdeev, Director of Innovation at the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. With extensive experience in promoting entrepreneurship through educational programs and interdisciplinary initiatives, Dr. Avdeev is the co-founder of the Student Startup Challenge and director of the Advanced Manufacturing Design Laboratory. During the workshop, he presented practical examples of integrating AI into the creation of innovative products and services, as well as how human-centered design can be combined with emerging technologies to achieve impactful results.
Participants had the opportunity to explore AI tools applicable to business, analyze real-world cases, and discuss the ethical challenges associated with implementing artificial intelligence. The session was interactive, offering not only theoretical insights but also practical recommendations for entrepreneurs looking to integrate AI into their development strategies.
Dr. Ilya Avdeev emphasized that entrepreneurial success in the AI era depends not only on adopting technologies but also on the ability to understand their social and ethical impact, as well as to turn innovation into a strategic advantage.
