The mission of the incubator is to provide free access to UBB students to a framework aimed to stimulate innovative thinking and to promote a collaborative and integrated environment to encourage entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial initiatives.

The main goal of the UBB Student i-Lab business incubator is to provide students from various specializations at Babeș-Bolyai University with the opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge, facilitating access to specialized support and an environment conducive to learning and networking.

Components

(1) Entrepreneurship

Antreprenoriat

The incubator will complement the intra-university ecosystem by ensuring the continuity of business concepts created by students within the entrepreneurship courses offered by the faculties of Babeș-Bolyai University. This will facilitate increased commercialization/valorization of innovative business concepts, as well as their transformation into successful businesses. The incubator will provide students interested in entrepreneurship with the opportunity to identify partners who can complement the need for knowledge and expertise in the field targeted by the business concept, offering a suitable framework for promoting interdisciplinary collaboration among students with various aspects of educational training.

(2) Intrapreneurship

Intraprenoriat

The incubator will provide an innovation framework for intrapreneurship projects, starting from real challenges faced by companies, as well as activities/programs they wish to develop with the involvement of students. Intrapreneurship projects can serve as a source of extrabudgetary funding to support competitions and events held within the incubator and facilitate partnerships with the business environment and social economy interested in affiliating their activities with the business incubator.

The Incubator will provide:

Profesional support to encourage ideation, exploration, launch and innovative projects to create practical solutions to the challenges of a modern society.
Partnerships with various stakeholders to organize events and programs, where students can contribute with innovative and practical solutions to the problems proposed by the business environment and the social economy organizations.
Collaboration with mentors, experts from specific fields, business consultants, trainers, speakers, etc., to assist students in developing their business concept in accordance with the requirements imposed by international markets.
